Outeniqua Trail Stage
The Outeniqua is South Africa's oldest and longest trail, spanning 108km from it's mountanous start at Bergplaas to the coastal forest finishing at Harkerville.
Some of the stages are ideal as a one day hike, though once you have done one stage you will want to carry on for a few more days.
A popular stage to do is the section between the Platbos Hut to Jubilee Creek, a 15km hike with a refreshing river crossing and plenty dung samples of the mysterious Forest Elephants.
